The Cluster of Excellence ‘RESIST’ (Resolving Infection Susceptibility, EXC 2155) at Hannover Medical School funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) seek to recruit
4 PhD students in Infection and Immunity
with immediate effect.
The positions, which are funded through the newly established Cluster of Excellence RESIST, will be available from 1/4/2019 for three years.
Our common mission within the newly founded EXC RESIST is to drive forward the understanding of the fundamental determinants of susceptibility to infectious diseases, as well as of the pathogens that commonly cause disease in susceptible individuals, to the point where this newly gained knowledge can be used to develop more accurate, personalised therapies, diagnostic methods and novel preventive strategies. RESIST investigators comprise the leading experts in the fields of basic and clinical infection research in the Hannover-Braunschweig area and in addition word-leading experts in molecular imaging (CSSB, Hamburg) and in the genetic causes of immunodeficiency (CCI, Freiburg).
Researchers interested in becoming involved and working in this exciting research environment can obtain information about the projects that have advertised the positions via this link: https://www.mh-hannover.de/index.php?id=37913&L=1.
