We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Oxford Orthopaedic Engineering Centre (OOEC) at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford. The successful applicant will be part of an inter-disciplinary team of engineers and clinicians working on the research and development of a system for applications in clinical orthopaedics.

You will work on a project that aims to rapidly combine data from motion capture with data from multiple ultrasound probes in order to reconstruct bony motion. In addition, you will develop and test software for a novel motion capture system for measuring joint motion and analyse data captured. You will also contribute documented software and system design documents to the project, write up the results for conference and journal publication and perform occasional demonstrations to industrial or academic visitors, assisting informally with the supervision of graduate students conducting related research.
