Salary: Grade 8: £40,792 - £48,677 p.a.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager. Reporting to the PET Radiopharmacy Oxford (PROx) Unit Head, you will lead the implementation and maintenance of the facilitys pharmaceutical quality systems, ensuring that procedures and documentation comply with GMP and MHRA guidelines and EU legislation. The facility operates as a multi-skilled team to ensure continued development of all staff and you will actively participate in providing regulatory expertise, guidance and training for the facility personnel.
This post provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a new unit that will deliver PET tracers for clinical research and develop novel tracer production for first in human studies.
You will have a BSc/MSc degree in a relevant science subject and significant experience in a quality assurance role in a licensed manufacturing environment within the pharmaceutical industry or the NHS. Comprehensive understanding and experience of working in accordance to EU GMP and MHRA regulatory guidelines is also an essential requirement of the role. Experience of batch review and knowledge of GLP and GCP would be advantageous.
This is a full-time post and there may also be the requirement to participate in an out of hours/weekend rota. The post is available for 3 years in the first instance.
Whilst the role is a Grade 8 position, we are willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 7 (£32,236 - £39,609 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. The development from Grade 7 to Grade 8 would be supported with suitable training and clear objectives over an agreed period of time. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.
