Salary: Grade 7: Salary in the range £32,236 - £37,345 p.a..
We are seeking a research radiographer specialist to join our research team, working under the supervision of Professor Sion-Glyn Jones and Mrs Gail Lang at the Botnar Research Centre and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford.
As Research Radiographer Specialist you will facilitate and enhance clinical research within the University and NHS. You will work closely with the Musculoskeletal TV SM Local Research Network Steering Group and Research Manager in planning current and future projects involving radiological imaging whilst undertaking the imaging requirements of NIHR portfolio studies, with a focus on MRI and ultrasound projects.
As radiology operational lead within the team for NIHR portfolio research patients you will set and maintain the highest standards of imaging and patient care, undertake the imaging aspects of NIHR portfolio studies and train NOC radiographers and other clinical staff to do so if required. You will develop protocols and standards in relation to research, ensuring IR (ME)R and IRR compliance at all time as well as calibrate and undertake quality assurance programmes on highly specialist complex equipment for NIHR portfolio research studies.
You will be HCPC registered, qualified at degree level with proven X-ray, MRI and/or ultrasound experience and be able to demonstrate current CPD portfolio. You will be able to demonstrate capability of working flexibly, independently and without direct supervision and will be willing to travel to other sites within the UK and Europe if required for specific studies. Experience of working within a Clinical Trials Unit or clinical research environment and a full UK driving licence would be desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment until 31 March 2020.
