A postdoc position in experimental biophysics is available at Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark from 1 June 2019. Employment is for two years with a possible one-year extension.

The successful candidate will work on a project focused on revealing mechanisms of plasma membrane repair and will be part of a highly interdisciplinary research collaboration involving theorists and experimental scientists.

We are seeking excellent applicants with a strong experimental background (PhD) in physics, biophysics, physical chemistry, nanoscience or a related discipline. Experience with advanced microscopy, in particular Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) is beneficial. The candidate should have good communication skills and be able to perform high-quality experimental research at the interface between physics and cell biology. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art microscope facilities and a modern biophysics laboratory.
