Call for Applicants – 14 Early Stage Researcher Positions in H2020-MSCA-ITN-2018 “PEP-NET – Predictive Epigenetics: Fusing Theory and Experiment”

Institutions across Europe in the PEP-NET ITN network

Berlin, Germany

The combination of quantitative experiments with predictive theoretical models to understand epigenetic regulation is immensely powerful but surprisingly rare. One of the greatest challenges to uniting biology and mathematics has been the barrier between disciplines, as education in the field has traditionally been mono-dimensional.

The network “PEP-NET – Predictive Epigenetics: Fusing Theory and Experiment”, led by Professor Leonie Ringrose (Humboldt University, Berlin), will overcome these barriers by uniting 16 outstanding European academic laboratories and companies who have pioneered the successful combination of theoretical and experimental epigenetics. PEP-NET will train a generation of European researchers to combine quantitative experiments with predictive theoretical models, and to exploit this knowledge to answer both basic and applied questions in epigenetics research.

Applications are invited for 14 Early Stage Researcher (ESR) 3-year fixed-term positions to be funded by the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) PEP-NET within the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission. The starting date for those positions will be between June and October 2019.
