LifeArc is an independent life science medical research charity committed to drastically improving positive patient outcomes everywhere. As a champion for human health, LifeArc partners with academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and charity organisations to move promising medical research forward into viable and accessible patient treatments. LifeArc’s Centre for Therapeutic Discovery (CTD) has expertise in both small molecule and therapeutic antibody drug discovery and works to develop exciting new drugs for a broad range of unmet medical needs.
The Opportunity Assessment Group (OAG) provides a central resource for LifeArc, researching and analysing the potential of new and existing biomedical opportunities. The team performs detailed scientific assessments as well as analysis of competition and intellectual property. A core focus of the team is the critical evaluation of drug discovery projects for CTD and OAG performs an essential role in helping to shape CTD’s drug discovery pipeline. OAG also provides diligence support for LifeArc’s Seed and Philanthropic Fund to inform investment decisions.
We are looking for someone educated to PhD level from a strong biological research background, with evidence of academic excellence. Ideally, you will have an academic background in immunology. You will welcome an intellectual challenge and will be able to quickly understand and critique scientific information. An ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment across a broad range of biomedical fields is essential. A position in OAG provides a stimulating job that offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual to broaden their scientific and commercial horizons.
