One of the major challenges in the reliability of off-grid systems is remote monitoring and control, especially for very remote areas like in Sub-Sahara Africa off-grid communities. Your role will be to participate in ending energy poverty by joining the platform development team and help us in the further development of our already existing data analysis platform using Python for off-grid hybrid renewable electricity systems (OHRES).
Good Python knowledge, especially for data manipulation and analysis (pandas) and plotting.
Basic knowledge of server communication, software communication.
Preferably a good understating of photovoltaics, small wind turbines and electrical energy storage in the context of off-grid systems, and Matlab scripting.
Field of Study: Master student in renewable energy, electrical engineering, computer science or informatics.
