PostDoc position (E 13)
The position is available for three years and should start April 1, 2019.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in a natural-scientific field (e.g. Biology,
Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology) and should have sincere enthusiasm for basic scientific research.
The position is embedded in our projects on ligand- and voltage-gated ion channels in the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre 166 ‘ReceptorLight’ and the Research Unit
‘DynIon’ of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (Spokesperson for each K. Benndorf).
The collaborative structures bring together scientists from many fields working in an interdisciplinary manner. Adequate technical man power will be provided. The institute is excellently equipped and provides many opportunities for further qualification, covering the fields of membrane biophysics, electrophysiology, molecular biology, biophotonics and mathematical modelling. Participation in teaching of medical students in practical courses of general physiology is expected.
Qualified individuals will be expected to work in a team as well as independently in an own project and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
