The scientific project manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the visibility and public relations of BAIO within the UKE as well as outside of it. She/he will be responsible for the planning and establishment of the web-representation, lectures, courses, and teaching in addition to general scientific outreach.

Furthermore, she/he will lend their scientific expertise to develop and partake in scientific proposals and grants in the fields of AI and digital health. Other areas where the scientific project manager might serve as a facilitator include joint projects, technology transfer, and knowledge transfer with industry. The scientific project manager will be responsible for the completion of proposals, including initial review, response coordination, production, final assembly, and delivery.

  • PhD in mathematics, computer science, or bioinformatics is preferred. We will consider strong candidates with an MSc in the same disciplines as well as 3-5 years of professional experience.

  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn new concepts and technical skills rapidly.

  • Knowledge in programming languages and mathematics is a decided plus for people with a biomedical background.

  • Experience and knowledge in biomedical data analysis is a decided plus for people with computer science or math backgrounds.

  • Excellent knowledge of English is a prerequisite. Mastering German is a plus.

The job is full time and located in Hamburg-Eppendorf. However, the candidate may have to travel  occasionally to attend meetings and conferences.
