Salary: Grade 6: £28,098 - £33,518 p.a.
Applications are invited for a Trainee Clinical Trial Project Manager - Blood-Stage Malaria Vaccine Programme to join Professor Simon Drapers blood-stage malaria vaccine development group at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical medicine, Jenner Institute, University of Oxford.
This role is focused on supporting a variety of clinical projects run by the Blood-Stage Malaria Vaccine Group. You will be responsible for working with the group project manager and clinician to ensure the necessary approvals and resources are in place to run our portfolio of UK and international trials to the required internationally agreed standards. You will ensure trial records are accurate and up to date for audit purposes. You would also take the lead in organising regular team update meetings. The role also involves some financial management.
You will have a science degree, ideally in a biological science. You should have previous experience and knowledge of clinical trials and be familiar with the principles of Good Clinical Practice. You will have highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines, be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, and possess critical thinking ability and good problem-solving skills. If you have existing experience of Phase I/II CTIMPs and/or human challenge studies we would encourage you to apply. The role would be a good next step for someone currently working as a clinical trials assistant.
