A Postdoctoral Associate
position is available in the new Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s
disease research in the West laboratory focused on neuroinflammatory mechanisms
underlying Parkinson’s disease. The project focuses on using novel
transplantation techniques in vivo and
in human stem cells to identify key mechanisms in inflammation driving cell
loss and protein aggregation, and approaches to therapeutically intervene. The
West laboratory is housed in the new Medical Sciences Research III building
that opened in October 2018.
The ideal candidate
will have background knowledge and experience in immunology and tissue culture
technique. Candidates must hold a PhD or MD or MD/PhD (or anticipating such a
degree prior to starting the postdoc).
