We are looking for someone to take responsibility for and manage the development of specific products and services at Springer Nature in order to deliver customer satisfaction and long-term value for the business.The role sits within the content acquisition domain which covers acquiring, retaining, peer reviewing, transferring when required and publishing manuscripts from researchers. Specifically, this role will focus on discovering and delivering services for researchers in China with the goal to create the best possible experience during the process of scientific publication and to retain as many best-quality manuscripts as possible.

Key Tasks:
Identify user needs or pain points and work with the Agile team to discover the best solution(s)
Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure your product delivers against business goals
Co-ordinate across complex dependencies to ensure your product is successful
Test assumptions, do the research, get the data, iterate
Drive and champion the vision for the product
Frequently and regularly talk to your customers to ensure your product continues to deliver value
Be the evangelist for your product, acting as a bridge between technology and the business
Maintain high-level plans and provide regular updates to management and other stakeholders
Collaborate with other product teams to ensure a coherent user experience across Springer Nature

Skills / Knowledge:
Strategic thinker and commercially minded
Strong analytic skills and the ability to balance intuition with data in making decisions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders.
Willingness, flexibility, creativity, and energy in taking initiative and assuming responsibility
Up to date with digital techniques and market trends

Experience:
At least 3 years of product management experience
Experience of developing products as part of an Agile team
Experience of data-driven and user-led product development
Experience of working with distributed development teams
