Salary: Grade E64: £32,569 -£52,200 p.a.
The postholder will be working alongside staff in the Oxford NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) Foundation Trust and the University of Oxford. The focus of this post includes the opportunity to engage in a translational research project under the supervision of a scientist in the Oxford Cancer Research Centre. Where appropriate, the postholder will be encouraged to develop the project with the aim of securing funding to go on to study for a higher degree.
The postholder will require an Honorary NHS Contract in order to fulfil their duties. They will also be a GMC registered Medical Practitioner (or be eligible for registration). Relevant and substantial hospital service since first obtaining full or limited registration, including direct experience in managing cancer patients is a necessary requirement, along with previously held post-foundation hospital appointments in oncology, surgery or a related discipline.
This is a full-time post, offered for a fixed-term of 1 year in the first instance.
