The Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg seeks to fill the position of
Professor (W3) „Plant Biochemistry
The successful candidate will represent the discipline of plant biochemistry in both research and teaching. The candidate should have a proven track record of international excellence in a topical research area of plant biochemistry, as evidenced by high ranking publications and external grant funding. Plant science is a current strongpoint of the University, and the candidate is expected to contribute to and expand this area. A leading role in new collaborative research initiatives and cooperation with the local non-university plant research institutes would be desirable. The post is very well equipped in a stimulating environment, with ample opportunities for collaboration.
Teaching duties include the training of students in plant biochemistry and related disciplines through both lectures and laboratory courses in a Bachelor/Master framework, and the candidate is expected to represent the entire discipline. Participation in other academic and administrational duties within the Department is also expected.

The salary and benefits will be based on the qualifications of the successful candidate and will be defined by the legal and budgetary constraints of the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
