W2 Professorship “Nutritional Physiology“

Applicants are expected to cover the field of basic and practical Human Nutrition Physiology in teaching and research. The successful candidate should provide an outstanding record in the field of nutrient-regulated metabolic processes, their underlying molecular mechanisms and nutrigenomics. Further, the applicant is expected to participate in the curricula of the Bachelor and Master programs “Nutritional Sciences” and postgraduate study programs. Co-operation with University colleagues from the nutritional sciences, medicine and adjacent disciplines is expected.

Candidates will have the following qualifications: PhD and post-doctoral experience at a university or other research institution, with a reputation as an active member in the international academic community (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification in the relevant field. The applicant must have an excellent record in Human Nutrition Physiology. Further duties of the successful applicant are listed in Article 34 of the University Act of Saxony-Anhalt (Hochschulgesetz des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt).
