Start date: During the period 15 February and 15 April 2019.
The candidate will be employed at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Southern Denmark and will be enrolled in the department's PhD programme under the supervision of Professor Ole N. Jensen.
The research project aims to develop novel approaches for early cancer detection and diagnostics by using advanced mass spectrometry and proteomics approaches. The project entails the characterization of proteins and proteomes in human kidney tissue and renal cell carcinoma tumor tissue from patients, including also protein post-translational modifications (e.g. protein phosphorylation). The candidate will develop and apply LC-MS based technologies and use advanced bioinformatics/statistics tools to characterize and identify molecular features of renal cell carcinomas in the context of precision medicine.
Deadline: 1 February 2019.
