PhD-Student – Clinical Mass Spectrometry (f/m)
The position is available from January 2019 (TV-L E13/65%). This is a two-year Position.
With a number of Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry instruments and a hybrid high resolution mass spectrometer at hand the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a PhD-student to expand its clinical mass spectrometry focus.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop, implement and apply mass spectrometry based methodologies for diagnostic purposes and further analyses involving biological specimens from preclinical and clinical studies.
Your profile:Applicants hold a degree (Master) or equivalent in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related field Applicants are expected to have a background in analytical chemistry and/or clinical chemistry and ideally hands-on experience with operation of advanced LC-MS instruments Solid knowledge of written and spoken English is beneficial Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team and in collaboration with others is essential.
