Junior Principal Investigator position in Shenzen University- IFOM Center for Genome Stability and Aging (S.I.G.M.A.)
IFOM and Shenzhen University have recently joined to establish the Shenzhen University-IFOM Center for Genome Stability and Aging (S.I.G.M.A.) whose research focus is on genome instability pathways and their impact on aging, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.
S.I.G.M.A.’s premises are in Shenzhen University’s research campus, fitted with state-of-the-art laboratory technologies and with a close link with IFOM’s network of laboratories in Italy and abroad. We are now looking for young and talented researchers that would be interested in applying for a junior PI position at S.I.G.M.A. The selected investigators are expected to engage in first class research in any aspect of the mechanisms involved in maintaining genome integrity and their role in functional genomics, cancer and or neurodegenerative diseases.
She/he will have full access to centralized service facilities needed to conduct an independent research program, both in Shenzhen as in the parent Institute (IFOM) in Milan (Italy). She/he will be offered a modern ready-to-go laboratory and office, and access to graduate students and post- doctoral fellows for free. We believe that it is an exciting opportunity for scientists who would love to have their own group in a dynamic and competitive environment to tackle these research topics.
