Salary: Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.
The Clinical Ophthalmology Research Group is seeking a postdoctoral research assistant to cover ongoing laboratory work during 6 months maternity leave being taken by a team member.
You will have a biosciences postgraduate degree (preferably a PhD) with a background in molecular genetics or cell biology. Prior experience of interventional clinical trials for retinal disease or previous work with murine or cellular models of retinal disease would be advantageous. We are looking for a highly qualified individual with outstanding academic credentials and an excellent publication record, who can work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a milestone-orientated research environment.
The post is full-time, for a fixed-term until the 31 July 2019 (6 months) to cover maternity leave, in the first instance.
A less experienced candidate may be appointed at Grade 6 (£28,660 £34,189 p.a.) with a commensurate adjustment in essential criteria, responsibilities and duties.
