Chair, Department of Drug Discovery
Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute (Moffitt) is seeking a leader with exceptional vision and expertise in target discovery, drug development and translational studies, as Co-Leader of the Chemical Biology & Molecular Medicine Program of the Moffitt Cancer Center, and as Chair of the Department of Drug Discovery. The expertise of qualified applicants should complement those of ongoing high-profile basic and translational research programs that are currently conducted by faculty members in the Department of Drug Discovery in the areas of chemical proteomics, organic synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, target discovery and validation, drug development and structural biology.
Candidates must hold a PhD, MD or PhD/MD, qualify for faculty appointment as Senior Member/Full Professor, possess demonstrated administrative and leadership skills, and have national and international recognition in the field, including an outstanding record of extramural funding. Academic rank beyond Associate Member will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Appointment at the level of Associate / Senior Member requires a minimum of five years of experience at the Assistant / Associate Professor level. The position is tenure-earning.
