This lab is funded by Leducq and AHA Allen as well as multiple Research grants from the National Institute of Health

● A highly motivated and skilled researcher in inflammation, metabolism, and aging research.

● Projects currently address (1) cross talk between inflammation and metabolism, (2) metainflammation and cardiovascular function, and (3) role of metainflammation in aging. The lab is well funded through the NIH.

● As a Research Associate, he/she will present data at departmental seminars and scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, and contribute preliminary data for grant proposals.


● The qualified candidate should have experience in mouse gene targeting in gain- and loss-of-function experiments and a wide array of cellular and molecular techniques. Experience with CRISPR approaches and with model systems such as C. elegans are of particular interest.


- Supervise laboratory technicians/assistants and student trainees in experimental design and data analysis of a variety of projects.


- Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, physiology, or equivalent. – Prior post- doctoral research experience is not required.

- The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
