Salary: Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.

Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work under the supervision of Professor Stephen Fletcher on a research project funded by ERC for a period of up to 2 years. The project involves organic chemistry and the work will require experience in chemical synthesis and characterisation techniques. You should be able to adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols. You should be able to test hypotheses and analyse scientific data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining working hypotheses as appropriate. You should be able to represent the research group at external meetings/seminars, either with other members of the group or alone.

This is an opportunity to join our group as a postdoctoral research associate for up to 2 years. Our group’s research is focused on synthetic and physical organic chemistry with a special interest in catalysis, chirality and dynamic systems. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a proven record of excellence in chemistry

You should have a PhD in chemistry or a related area (or have submitted a PhD thesis prior to taking up the appointment). The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Mansfield Road, Oxford.
