Responsible for the management and development of staff. Provides oversight to, and is accountable for quality and service, regulatory compliance, work unit safety, strategic planning, document management, financial management and developing and implementing new services. Works cooperatively with a wide variety of customers, as well as internal and external resources. Completes special projects as assigned by the laboratory consultant/director(s), administrator and/or operations manager(s).

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,832.80, based on a full-time position.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in CLS/MLS/MT, management/business, sciences or a health-related field and four years of laboratory or management experience.

Additional qualifications

Must have demonstrated leadership, communication (oral and written) and problem solving ability. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Requires human relations skills to influence and motivate others.

Previous experience with cell culture techniques, clinical trials, cell therapy/regenerative medicine processes, biological manufacturing requirements, and knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) desirable. Knowledge of clean room operation, maintenance, and performance is advantageous. Familiarity of working with clinical trial principal investigators and routing clinical trials through FDA for review and approval is desirable. Strong background in biology, immunology, hematology, and flow cytometry considered favorable. Strong interpersonal skills, self starter capabilities, and project management skills are necessary for the successful candidate.
