ENDOWED PROFESSORSHIP (W2) FOR INFORMATICS WITH A FOCUS ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND TECHNOCHANGE
commencing as soon as possible, ref.no. 2290/W2
The successful candidate is expected to teach and conduct research in the field of Digital Transformation & Technochange. Thus, a proven track record in this field of research as well as experiences in successfully developing innovative formats for co-innovation between research and industry / the public sector are required.
The successful candidate is further expected to demonstrate solid knowledge of informatics-based change of organizations and organizational networks and their architectures in the context of digitalization. She/he is required to actively contribute to the interdisciplinary research projects of the Department of Informatics, esp. in the field of information governance technologies. Further, active participation in ahoi.digital, the Hamburg informatics cooperation platform, is also expected.
The successful candidate can demonstrate experience in developing and designing institutional networks between research and industry/business/public administration and will deploy this expertise in the further development of the network IT-Management and -Consulting at Universität Hamburg.
We require a university professor to be willing and able to take on teaching of mandatory courses in the IT Management and Consulting degree program and of undergraduate courses in informatics. We expect substantial contributions to innovation in studies and teaching based on your experience in the design of new courses and teaching/learning formats. Extensive experience in and a willingness to participate in academic self-governance are desirable.
Furthermore, we expect active participation in ahoi.digital, the cooperation platform for informatics at Hamburg’s higher education institutions.
Section 12 subsection 7 sentence 2 of the Hamburg higher education act (Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG) applies.

Applicants are expected to have international research experience as well as a successful track record in acquiring external funding and carrying out externally funded projects. The University places particular emphasis on the quality of teaching and therefore requests that applicants provide details of their teaching experience and objectives.
