Job description:

As part of your work, you will carry out experimental work in the field of nuclear fusion technology at the Helium Loop Karlsruhe (HELOKA) test facility for researching helium-cooled components of future fusion power plants. Your main tasks are the supervision of the control and power supply technology, the instrumentation of the test objects as well as the participating in planning, execution and evaluation of the experiments. The shielding of the electron beam facility must be evaluated before each experiment, adapted if necessary, and monitored during the experiments. The results of the experiments obtained will be published on a national as well as on an international level.

The position is basically suitable for part-time work.

You have a university degree (Diploma (University)/Master’s Degree) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable scientific degree. Experience in handling process control technology based on Simatic PCS 7 as well as data acquisition technology on National Instruments cRIO systems and LabView is considered as an advantage. Very good written and spoken English skills as well as experience in the operation of electron beam systems round off your profile. German language skills are a definite advantage.

Salary category 13 depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
