A highly motivated candidate is sought for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Center for Ultrasound Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of Dr. John J. Pacella, MD. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Pacella in developing a translational research program in sonothrombolysis. A major project focus involves the application of ultrasound contrast agents for microvascular reperfusion during ischemia. There will also be an opportunity to test ultrasound therapeutic efficacy both in vitro models and in animal models. The successful candidate is expected to work well with the members of the Center comprised of faculty of different backgrounds, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and technicians.
