Clinical Researcher - Oncology

NDM Experimental Medicine, University of Oxford

Oxford, South East England, United Kingdom

Salary: E64: £31,931 - £51,176 p.a.

This 3-year Fellowship is aimed at clinical trainees, providing them with an opportunity to study in a high calibre research environment, working towards a DPhil. The principal aim is to provide high quality research training in basic and applied science, tailored specifically to the needs of talented clinicians who aspire to a career in academic medicine.

The Fellowships are structured around existing research programmes. These provide first class research environments for clinician scientists and have a framework for research and training in the combined fields of basic science and clinical medicine. Each training Fellowship will be tailored to form a partnership between basic scientists and clinician-scientists, with the aim to bridge the gap between basic and applied research.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to discuss their research interests and the project proposal with the supervisors prior to submitting an application.

The Fellowship may be held at a number of University departments, and this will be dependent on the choice of project.
