Scope of the program:
As group we have a strong background in in-vivo disease models and different imaging techniques. We are an international group of scientists, including senior physician scientists, biologists, veterinarians and doctoral students with backgrounds in cardiology and immunology. As inherent part of Munich’s scientific environment we contribute to several DZHK and DFG (SFB 914 and 1123) funded research projects. Furthermore, we are collaborating with many national and international groups. Our laboratory is located at Klinikum der Universität München and the Walter-Brendel-Center for Experimental Medicine at Campus Munich-Grosshadern.
We are looking for students with a master’s degree or equivalent in biology, immunology or related fields with experience in basic science and animal work.
We are offering two PhD positions in experimental cardiology for highly motivated and excellent students who will join projects within the field of cardiovascular medicine. We are offering one project on the mechanisms regulating mechanisms of megakaryopoiesis and thrombopoiesis, and another project addressing mechanisms of thrombus formation. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and gender equality at our institution.
