Report to Executive Editor, Physical Sciences and Engineering

Responsibilities
 Actively build up author/editor/reviewer/partner network among the scientific community in Greater China
 Keep abreast of the latest development in Physics & Astronomy and related areas worldwide, focus on emerging or hot topics as well as interdisciplinary research
 Plan, acquire and manage Editorial Projects with Chinese authors/editors/partners. Editorial Projects include journals, books and databases in Physics & Astronomy and related areas
 Ensure the high quality of the Editorial Projects, including metadata, academic content, language, etc.
 Work closely with global Physics & Astronomy team and other Springer Nature in-house teams to develop international projects/initiatives and provide local support

Requirements
 Master degree, ideally PhD, in Physics or Astronomy, preferably acquired in a foreign country
 Previous working experience in international STM publishing industry is preferable
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good team player
 Fluent written and spoken English, excellent presentation skills
 Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
 Ready to travel frequently within China and occasionally overseas
 Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities
 Highly motivated with a sense of self-discipline and of entrepreneurial interests
