In the role of a Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Engineering you will focus on investigating methods for expanding blood products ex-vivo and developing tools to model hematological processes. Additionally, we are interested in understanding how the hematopoietic stem cell microenvironment is affected under conditions of hematological malignancy.
•Performing bench-top molecular biology and genomics experiments, histology, cell culture, flow cytometry and ELISA assays
•Maintaining the laboratory supplies and mouse colony
•Identifying solutions to complex problems
To qualify, you must have a Master’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field. At least 1-3 years of experience with mammalian cell culture, and basic molecular biology laboratory techniques is required. Prior experience with mouse handling is preferred.
