Chlorinated paraffins (CPs) are emerging environmental contaminants with a high bioaccumulation potential. Monitoring studies for CPs are relatively scarce, due to large challenges in the analysis of CPs. For East Africa data on environmental occurrence are missing completely. The current project will investigate the bioaccumulation of CPs in fish from Lake Victoria, Uganda, and the associated human exposure to CPs via consumption of fish.
