There is an opening for a funded postdoctoral position in the Xu Lab in the Diabetes Center, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The project will study regulation of body weight, glucose and lipid metabolism with the emphasis on brain function during aging. The project will use a combination of mouse genetics, neuroendocrine and molecular biology approaches.
The postdoc applicant must have a recent Ph.D. degree, and should demonstrate a passion for science, innovative thinking and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Excellent communication skill is required and strong backgrounds on mouse genetics, neuroscience, physiology or molecular biology are highly desired.
