The Department of Molecular & Medical Genetics at Oregon Health & Science University is seeking applicants for the position of physician-scientist with a research program in the genetics of lipid metabolism. This is a full time tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We expect that the candidate will hold an MD or equivalent degree, and ideally have ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist. This position will be 80-90% research and 20-10% clinical.

We are looking for a candidate who will lead an interdisciplinary research program in the broad fields of lipid metabolism or signaling and related processes. A research program that complements current strengths at OHSU in rare metabolic disorders, behavioral neuroscience, and bioactive lipids would be preferred.

Clinical responsibilities will also include clinical care participation in our outpatient and inpatient services as well as supervision and teaching of graduate and medical students, residents, and fellows. This position will join an outstanding established clinical team of 5 providers covering biochemical genetics services to pediatric and adult patients.
