We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Research Nurse to join a research team in the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Osteoarthritis Pathogenesis, based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology.
The main objective of this post is to facilitate existing clinical translational projects and studies in the centre as well as the development of new projects, which includes recruitment of patients into clinical studies in order to help understand the mechanisms of the disease and identify new treatments. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working between rheumatology, orthopaedics and physiotherapy, with scientific colleagues, trial managers and co-ordinators.
You must be an NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post registration experience demonstrating appropriate competencies for the role. You must be able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision as well as within a team and have excellent interpersonal skills. Occasional travel to study sites may be required. A lower grade offer may be made (Grade 5: £25,482 - £30,395p.a.) with commensurate reduction in responsibilities if a suitable candidate cannot be found to fill the Grade 6 position.
