The Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University seek applications for research-intensive tenure-track Faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to complement a group of highly interactive faculty members with broad expertise in basic immunology, microbial pathogenesis, host-virus interaction, vaccine development and oncolytic viruses. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to basic aspects and systems biology of the immune response, mechanisms of vaccine protection, development of novel adjuvants, vaccines or immunotherapy all with a focus on infectious diseases, viral infections, or cancer. The successful candidates will receive a generous start-up package and a salary commensurate with their rank and experience. Candidates for Associate or Full Professor positions should provide evidence of successfully leading a research group and a strong record of publications and extramural funding. The Microbiology and Immunology Department is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, which supports state-of-the-art central facilities such as flow cytometry, X-ray crystallography, genomics, cell and animal bio imaging. Biosafety facilities to accommodate studies with mouse and human pathogens are available.
