The research group of Prof. Dr. Philipp Henneke at the Center for Chronic Immunodeficiency, University Medical Center Freiburg, is offering a
PhD Position in Immunology and Infectious Diseases
Starting date: as soon as possible
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and ambitious scientist holding a Master in the areas of Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology etc. for an innovative project on the role of macrophages and dendritic cells in central inflammation.
The work is integrated into BMBF and DFG funded research consortia on myeloid cell development.
The project involves state of the art methodology like fate-mapping and reporter mice, multi- colour FACS, advanced imaging and gene arrays.
The successful applicant will be part of the interdisciplinary cell biological research environment of the CCI and the Center for Translational Cell Research, which is located in a state of the art research building.
The PhD work will be performed within the structured PhD program of the CCI and – if suitable – the Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine – SGBM.
