The Biology Department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Camden Campus, seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in any area of plant biology for Fall 2019. Applicants must have a PhD from an accredited institution as well as postdoctoral training in plant biology, a strong record of research productivity commensurate with experience, and a demonstrable commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his/her area of expertise, and mentor graduate (MS, PhD) and undergraduate students as part of the research mission of the Biology Department. Integration into a campus-wide interdisciplinary research center, the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (CCIB), is desirable. The candidate is expected to develop an independent research program that will secure external funding to support ongoing research.
