Postdoc, Research Associate or Assistant Research Professor – Aging research and drug discovery
The Indiana University School of Medicine has exciting opportunities as a Postdoc, research associate or assistant research professor in the team of Drs. Anita Bellail and Chunhai Hao in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
The team is investigating the fundamental principles of protein ubiquitination and SUMOylation and targeted drugs (Bellail et al. Nat Commun. 2014, 23;5:4234). The new recruits will study the UB and SUMO modification of amyloid and/or tau proteins in Alzheimer’s diseases (AD) and joins the team in discovery and development of small molecule UB/SUMO targeted antiaging drugs.
Qualifications and requirements:
- We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic, and career-minded researchers with excellent training, experience and record in biochemistry, molecular biology and/or neuroscience.
- Newly graduated PhDs in any of the fields are encouraged to apply for the postdoctoral fellow and/or research associate.
- Current postdoctoral fellows with excellent experience and publications either in ubiquitin or aging studies are encouraged to apply for assistant research professor, a junior faculty position.
