Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Intracellular Antibodies in Leukaemia Therapy

Salary: Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position to be part of the Intracellular Antibody and Small Molecule programme, led by Professor Terry Rabbitts, to develop macromolecules and drugs targeting protein interactions in cancer, in particular acute leukaemia.

The post will focus on the implementation of intracellular antibody fragments and small molecules, derived from antibody fragments, to interfere with protein function in leukaemia. In particular, development of techniques for intracellular antibody development and small molecule inhibitors of LMO2 and KRAS in acute leukaemia.

Candidates must have a PhD in a biological subject and experience in molecular biology, tissue culture and immunological methods. Experience with yeast culture and phage display and biophysical methods of protein analysis are also essential. Experience with Next Generation Deep Sequencing, recombinant viruses and crystallography would be an advantage.
