Postdoctoral Position in Structural Biology of Alzheimer’s Disease
Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA
The laboratory of Dr. Jiri Safar in the Department of Pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU) has a postdoctoral position available under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) 5-year grant to study structural biology of Alzheimer’s disease. The goal is to determine key molecular machines or chemical modifications that are critical for the differential toxicity and accumulation of various misfolded tau and amyloid beta strains, and identification of potential co-factors involved in modulating the uptake and propagation of distinct strains from cell-to-cell.
Postdoctoral fellows with Ph.D. or M.D., and experience in molecular and structural biology of amyloid beta and tau proteins should submit a Cover Letter, current CV, and names and contact information for 3 references to: Jiri.Safar@case.edu
