The Nanoscience and Technology Division/Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne National Laboratory has an available postdoctoral position in the Nanophotonics & Biofunctional Structures (nPBS) group. The position is funded for one year and renewable for up to three years (subject to available funding and performance evaluation).

The prospective researcher will carry out research in developing hybrid quantum systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with a group of scientists and postdoctoral researchers at CNM towards realizing quantum transduction among qubits.

Position Requirements:

A strong experimental background in device physics in integrated photonics, superconducting circuits, spintronics or other related areas is preferred. Hand-on experiences in cryogenic quantum measurement are highly preferred. Additional expertise in numerical simulation, nanofabrication, and instrumentation is beneficial. Good programming and data analysis skills are a plus.

A Ph.D. degree in physics, engineering, or any other related areas obtained within the last three years or to be finished soon is required.
