Mayo Clinic Arizona is recruiting to add to our Genitourinary Cancer team of 3 Medical Oncologists, 5 Radiation Oncologists, and 7 Oncologic Urologists. As the only NCI designated cancer center in one of the Nationâ€™s largest metro areas, Mayo Clinic Arizona will provide the successful applicant with many opportunities to contribute to existing efforts, grow new programs, and pursue a personalized career path related to Genitourinary Cancer research and treatment. MCA is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan with $648 million dollars in planned construction. Cancer is designated as a key strategic priority, so we are seeking an ambitious Academic GU Oncologist who wants to be a part of a top ranked and growing faculty.
The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic Arizona includes over forty physicians and researchers offering highly skilled, state-of-the art care. The medical oncology team in Arizona is known for its clinical excellence and extensive involvement in the preclinical and clinical development of new therapies. They are active participants in the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and the NCI Experimental Therapeutics-Clinical Trials Network (ET-CTN). The division also supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and the Mayo Medical School in Arizona.
Mayo Clinic in Arizona serves as the leading referral center for GU Cancers in the Southwest. The Urology and Radiation Oncology services are both internationally recognized, with extensive track records for innovation and excellence. The successful candidate will be able to partner with the surgical and radiation teams in a multidisciplinary clinic, run and develop clinical trials, and drive innovation across the spectrum of care. Our team works with the full spectrum of advanced technologies including Proton Beam Radiation therapy, an on-site cyclotron for synthesis of novel radiopharmaceuticals, and GMP facilities for manufacture of cellular therapies. Cancer care at Mayo is managed collaboratively across the campuses in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota, so the applicant will also have access to the combined resources of the entire Mayo Clinic network. This includes over 200 oncologists and hematologists, CORE research facilities, Pathology, clinical records, and over 2000 faculty involved in cancer care.
The division is seeking an individual with a strong interest in clinical research in GU cancer. The applicant will have a primary focus in Prostate Cancer, with a secondary focus in the other GU malignancies. A track record of publication and clinical trials experience is a plus. The applicant will have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will be able to build a successful academic practice and present their findings at national and international meetings. Both experienced academicians and fellows are encouraged to apply.
