Postdoctoral research position is available for a highly motivated graduate student to join a productive research group working on the genetics of psychiatric illness, to work primarily on (a) genetics of posttraumatic stress disorder and many related psychiatric traits in the Million Veteran Program dataset; and (b) substance use disorder genetics including Psychiatric Genomics Consortium projects. Other projects include a pharmacogenomics clinical trial taking place in the VA system. The ideal candidate should hold an MD or PhD, and have a strong background in human genetics, including knowledge of genomewide methods, including sequence analysis and population genetics; and comfort with bioinformatics. The candidate should also be able to work cooperatively with peers and bring research to publication. Start date is flexible. Applicants should have US citizenship or permanent residency.
