Your Job:

Construction, test and calibration of a mobile system for the quantification of greenhouse gas emissions in the vineyards Installation of soil gas sampling probes and redox sensors at different soil depths Regular measurements of greenhouse gas emissions with the mobile system, of greenhouse gas concentrations and of redox potential at the different soil depths Soil sampling and subsequent laboratory incubations of the soil samples for the quantification of greenhouse gas emissions under controlled conditions Presentation of results at conferences and during public field days Publication of results in international, peer-reviewed journals

Your Profile:

University degree (MSc or equivalent) in soil science, environmental sciences, geoecology, or similar subject areas Knowledge in the area of carbon and nitrogen turnover in the soil and production processes of greenhouse gases Ideally experience in greenhouse gas measurements Ability and willingness to work regularly in the field, also in collaboration with the other subprojects Car driving license Very good communication and organizational skills Very good command of the English language, both in speaking and writing
