applications for a professorship
W3 (oL) in Molecular Oncology
The Medical Faculty of Ulm University has established a specialization in Molecular Oncology! as a specific extension of its master programme Molecular Medicine!. In this context applications are invited for a W3 professorship. The major task of this newly endowed professorship is to further develop this part of the master programme.
Teaching is expected in the master programme Molecular Medicine! with a particular focus on molecular oncology. Furthermore, the professor will participate in other teaching activities of the Medical Faculty.
An excellent track record in cancer research is expected. In particular, modern concepts of molecular oncology and innovative model systems (e.g. animal models, organoids) including the analysis of treatment resistance, as well as translational aspects of personalized medicine are encouraged. Part time clinical activity is possible for clinician scientists.
The professorship shall also strengthen the main research topics of the Medical Faculty of Ulm University. We expect an active cooperation in existing research groups as well as in setting up novel research cooperations within the Medical Faculty and an active commitment in the Comprehensive Cancer Center Ulm (CCCU)
