The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on projects in the areas of nutrition and organ size control in Drosophila. We are currently seeking a Full time (1.0 EFT) postdoctoral research fellow for a 1 year fixed term position, with the opportunity for future extension. Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and ambitious scientist with expertise in the field of cellular/molecular biology/developmental biology/metabolism. He/she will be self-driven, and have a friendly and enthusiastic disposition. Ability to design, conduct and drive independent research, excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with independence and collaboratively as part of a team are essential. The candidate will be finishing or have recently finished a PhD in related fields.
