Postdoctoral position: pluripotent stem cell-derived human lung organoids

Columbia University Medical Center

New York, NY, United States

A postdoctoral position is available at the Columbia Center for Human Development, Columbia University Medical Center, New York in the laboratory of Dr. Hans-Willem Snoeck (www.snoecklabstemcells.org). The project focuses on the use of lung organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells (see Chen et al. Nat Cell Biol., 19:542-549, 2017) to model lung disease and to generate fetal lung progenitors for regenerative purposes. A minimum commitment of 4 years is required. The lab also focuses on hematopoietic stem cells. Trainees will therefore be exposed in depth to both adult and pluripotent stem cell biology. MD and/or PhD degree required, published expertise in stem cell biology or in lung development, biology or disease desirable. Please send CV and names of three references to Dr. Hans-Willem Snoeck, hs2680@columbia.edu.
