Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to join our fast-paced, nimble team and be responsible for analyzing complex mass spectrometry datasets. As a member of the Bioinformatics group the successful candidate will interpret public and proprietary protein quantification, interaction and posttranslational modification data to drive target selection, antibody development, and downstream biological analysis.


  • Work closely with wet-lab proteomics scientists to collaborate on experimental design and interpretation of mass spectrometry data
    Identify novel computational methods, data sources, and external collaborations that will grow capabilities in computational analysis of proteomics data
  • Coordinate with software developers of the Bioinformatics team for the implementation and development of state-of-the-art computational and data mining methods
  • Mine public, in-house, and PhosphoSitePlus data for target discovery
  • Develop computational methods for our antibody development pipeline
  • Analyze data for customers of our PTMScan platform
  • Translate data to biological knowledge
  • Communicate complex results to team members, collaborators and customers
  • Publish scientific or methodological results in top journals


  • PhD in Bioinformatics or related field
  • Strong record of high-throughput analysis of mass spectrometry-based proteomics data
  • Proficiency in writing code in R or Python
  • Proficiency in statistical methods, data mining and machine learning
  • Solid understanding of posttranslational modifications and cell signaling
  • Strong publication record in high impact factor journals

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proficiency with C#, PHP, or Java
  • Experience with MySQL, Oracle, graph databases
  • Experience with AWS / Cloud computing
  • Experience with antibody development
  • Minimum 2 years related industry experience or PostDoc
