We hereby announce a funded postdoctorial position in the Hemmingsson lab at Umeå University. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated postdoc to a translational cancer research project in the nematode C. elegans.
Our group focuses on evolutionary conserved signaling networks that can act as cancer drivers and we aim to find tractable pharmacological targets and novel lead compounds within that niche. The successful applicant will be developing a novel screening pipeline with whole animal pharmacodynamics and genetic dissection of lead compounds in the nematode C. elegans. You will be part of an international research team in a strong translational environment between our newly set up C. elegans research lab, the surgical clinic and a screening platform.
